Remember it about Salmond come the election

So Salmond has called off the referendum anyway now. At least until after he wins the next Scottish election, which presently he looks like losing.

Good strategy, if you share the belief that he was always going to avoid holding the referendum for fear of losing it.

It might be thought this was always his escape from dealing with anything awkward in the contributions to the National Conversation, too, like mine displayed in this blog.

Do those contributions now cease to matter? Not at all. His reasons for refusing to make some of them public, like mine, should be speculated on as you judge the Referendum Bill, which is still due to come out pre-election, then his actual election campaign. Is independence an honest sale? Tell us what was harmful to publicise in the suppressed contributions.
