there there let's support you, now do as yer told

From the British budget rather than the Scottish, in context of the announced end of austerity, an announced new spend of £10 million on mental health for ex-army. The Daily Record reported this, around their high suicide rate.

Which matters. Matters a lot to human life. Trauma of the whole military scene and experience, for all history it has been a bad aspect of the world that it exists. They printed a story of a life ended at age 28 by this impact. The more the need to care about it chips away at the brutal nature of what it is, the better for the whole condition of life.

But - problem. Daily Record is a powerful media, a world of its own, can print what it wants. It spun the solution, predictably, as being this higher spending. "need to know support will always be there." There is no way to make it print a word on the civil liberty danger behind what it advocates. The danger that the support turns into forcing things on them and ordering them to make personal changes unrelated to why they came for support.

The things said by the Record and govt are only common sense if the support shall not have that unsupportive oppressive dangerous power !

At the session of the UN Human Rights Council, High Commissioner Zeid Ra’adAl Hussein again called for the exclusion of psychiatric coercion, as an absolutely unacceptable violation of human rights. That is already for years the position of the UN Committee on rights of Disabled People. This latest step in human rights is publicly supportable thus:

abridged

It was the SNP government who chose in 2010 not to go ahead with maintenance work on stressed joints on the Forth road bridge. They had engineering reports that it was needed to avert the present closure crisis. It has been uncovered here.

Some nats on Facebook are arguing that other parties who were reluctant to support building the new bridge (arguments should it be bridge or tunnel, etc) should be blamed. Regardless of what views on the new bridge were right or wrong, they are not causes of the present situation - because the new bridge is not yet completed so it has not yet taken any traffic off the old bridge. It's entirely the choices made about the old bridge that lead to the old bridge's situation. Including, to the engineer of the Skye bridge, who lives in Queensferry, telling the Daily Record it may never be reopenable to heavy lorries.

When they were consulting the public on starting the new bridge, some of us pointed out that the known overstress wear on the old bridge, from the heavy freight beyond what it was designed to take, was continuing all the time and they could stop it by diverting the heavy freight onto a ferry. Did they? They may now have to do that, but it will take them time to arrange it and obtain appropriate vessels, and meanwhile the lorries can't cross or have to clog up the Clackmannanshire bridge. If they had arranged a freight ferry back c2010, as an outcome of studying the situation towards needing the new bridge, they would have had time to plan and work it out properly.

You notice we are getting help from the union with extra train rolling stock sent from England, because Scotrail is not already have it, either for emergencies or for relieving the overcrowded too short commuter trains in the Central Belt that have been suffered for years.

it's the nats who have cut the NHS they are caught lying about

"The Daily Record has regularly reported on the impact of the SNP’s neglect of NHS budgets in Scotland.

We have exposed unacceptable waits for A+E treatment, missed waiting-time targets and chaos on wards. And the IFS also warned that falling oil revenues would mean an independent Scotland would be forced to slash health budgets further.

Even using the SNP’s widely-disputed oil figures, they say the Scottish NHS would be better off as part of the UK."

This is is exactly what those of us who have been on street stalls for No, of which there should have been more, have heard from health workers and from elderly folks whose clinics have been cut or had their waiting lists increased. Since the poll wobble we have now given ourselves a taste of economic life under Yes, a piece of real history we can always point back to. It's time to come back from the wobble.

SNP TRIED TO HIDE FROM US UNTIL,AFTER THE VOTE THEIR HALF BILLION £ OF HEALTH CUTS. THE WHISTLE HAS BEEN BLOWN, Jim Murphy speaks on it in a video: www.facebook.com/#!/video.php?v=728024090614568&set=vb.301783293238652&type=2&theater
